BETTY SIMS
Betty Jean Sims, 89, of Weirton, WV passed away Monday July 21, 2025 at Weirton Geriatric Center in Weirton, WV.
She was born March 22, 1936 in Weirton, WV a daughter of the late Theodore & Marie (Gindea) Pavel. She is also preceded in death by her husband Clarence William “Buck” Sims, sisters Vicky & Mary, brothers Theodore, George, & John, a son Blaine & grandsons Brandon & Eric.
Surviving is 2 daughters Edwina Thilmony of Kentucky, Sharon Clancey of Pittsburgh, PA, 2 sons Brad (Carolyn) Sims of Weirton, WV & Wayne Sims of Weirton, WV. One sister Genovive Marriner of Follansbee, WV, 11 grandchildren & many great grandchildren.
Family would like to thank the Weirton Geriatric Center Staff & Valley Hospice for the care they provided.
Services will be held Thursday July 24, 2025, Visitation starting 10am to 1pm time of service at Turley Funeral Home LLC New Cumberland, WV with grandson Joshua Thilmony officiating. Burial will follow in the New Cumberland Cemetery.
