LISA CESSNA

Lisa Lynn (Caldwell) Cessna of Scenery Hill, went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025.
She was born on July 26th, 1968 in Steubenville, Ohio.
Lisa was a 1986 graduate of Burgettstown High School, after which she went on to earn a degree from Edinboro College and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Shippensburg University.
Lisa worked briefly for Senator J. Barry Stout and the City of Weirton, West Virginia, before joining the planning commission of Washington County, Pennsylvania. Lisa eventually became the Planning Director, a position that she served in for many years.
Lisa had a selfless approach to her everyday life and her devotion to family was unmatched. She had a loving marriage of over 31 years to her husband, Richard, and raising her daughters alongside him was her purpose in life. She adored them. Lisa enjoyed caring for her dogs, who brought her endless laughs. She loved to travel and explore the world, whether it was across an ocean or in the backyard. Lisa was a beautiful and generous spirit, and above all else knew how to get things done. She was tenacious, spunky, and motivated. Whether planned or spontaneous, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a laugh and smile that could light up a room. Even in the most trying time of her life, her joy was magnetic.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Richard; her daughters, Emma and Grace; her parents, Duane and Sherry Caldwell of Burgettstown; her brother Bryan and his family; and three dogs, Pepper, Sprite, and Ozzy.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, August 31, 2025 with Pastor Fran Skariot and Bob Brooks, officiating.
