BERNARD MORRIS

Bernie was born August 23, 1934, in Waynesburg, PA to the late John Lincoln and Virginia Satterfield Morris.

Bernie was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Weirton WV, was an Army veteran. He loved riding his motorcycle, playing golf, and Polka dancing with his wife and best friends.

Bernie retired from Brooke County Schools where he was head of grounds at Brooke High School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert L. Morris, and Gerald Morris.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Liz” Fijewski Morris; two daughters, Brenda Morris and Melissa Horvat. both of Weirton, WV; one granddaughter, Candace Terry and Jeff of St. Pete, FL; and three grandchildren, Kaylee Medas of Follansbee, WV, Ciara Smith, and Milia Smith both of St. Pete, FL.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 5 p.m. until the time of a Liturgy of the Word Service at 7 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home, 1515 Charles St., Wellsburg, WV with Fr. Justin Golna, Celebrant. Interment will be held privately at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV.

In lieu of flowers the family would like you to consider donating to the Alzheimer Association.
