Richard Andrew Heaton, 96, of Coraopolis, PA. formerly of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at UPMC Passavant Hospital following a brief illness. He was ninety-six years old. Richard was born on May 7, 1927, in Weirton. A proud member of the United States Navy, he rose to the rank of Quarter Master 3rd Class while serving in WWII and the Korean War. Richard was given the gift of making anything from wood. Born on January 29, 1940, in Steubenville, OH, he is the son of the late Paul, Sr. and Wilma Granger and cherished brother of Vivian Gayle Kovein. Paul was a former employee of Weirton Steel. Retired Air Force Sgt. Ralph Eugene Muntz died in Las Vegas, NV January 14, 2024. He was a graduate of Steubenville High School prior to joining the US Air Force.
