RICHMOND — The Buckeye Local girls basketball team snapped Edison’s two-game winning streak, holding off the Wildcats in the second half for a 42-39 victory Monday night on the road.

Demetria Christian led the Panthers with 12 points, while Emily Valuska netted 10 points and Landyn Walker added eight points.

The Wildcats, who trailed 18-6 at halftime but rallied back with 33 second-half points, were led by Savanna Ankrom with 13 points, while Olivia Huff netted nine.

Edison tentatively travels to Cambridge on Wednesday.

TORONTO – The Toronto girls basketball team outpaced Bridgeport in all four quarters to pull away for a 44-23 victory at home on Monday night.

Maddie Anderson led the way for Toronto with 10 points, while Kennedy Cottrell added seven.

The Red Knights tentatively travel to Beallsville on Wednesday.
