WVU football assistant coach, former player Noel Devine arrested, jailed

MORGANTOWN — West Virginia assistant coach and former standout running back for the Mountaineers, Noel Devine, 38, was arrested and booked at 12:45 p.m. Sunday at the North Central Regional Jail charged with one felony count of strangulation, according to the Magistrate Court of Monongalia County. Devine's bond is set at $40,000. No additional information on the case is available at this time. Devine was on the sidelines Saturday for WVU's 52-7 win over U.T.
