STEUBENVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. Peter Vojvodich of Steubenvlle recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Niagara Falls, N.Y., followed by a celebratory vacation at Myrtle Beach, S.C., with their children and grandchildren.

Vojvodich and the former Diane Joyce Dailey were untied in marriage on July 15, 1967, at Holy Name Cathedral in Steubenville by the Rev. Donald Mantica.

He is the son of the late Peter Vojvodich and Elizabeth Salata Vojvodich. She is the daughter of the late Kenneth Dailey and Doris Williams Dailey.

Vojvodich is an Air Force veteran, having served in Alaska, Iceland and in the Dakotas within the Minuteman ICBM program. He spent 40 years in the steel industry holding a variety of leadership roles at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in Steubenville and Mingo Junction and as project manager and general manager of operations for SSAB (IPSCO) through building, commissioning and operating a new plate mill for them in Houston.

She held a variety of administrative roles in the elementary school system for the Catholic Diocese of Steubenville as well as a substitute elementary teacher for Crosby Independent School District near Houston.

They have three children, Peter D. Vojvodich of The Woodlands, Texas; Janice M. Vojvodich of Wintersville; and James M. Vojvodich of Colliers. They have seven grandchildren.
