Steubenville Police Bird Man: A driver who allegedly had a bird perched on his shoulder when he crashed his vehicle into an embankment at the intersection of Lovers Lane and county Road 26 was cited after a witness produced a photo of him he took before he tried to flee the scene on a zero-turn lawn tractor, Friday. Police said Ryan E. Doran, 117 Meadow Road, Wintersville, was charged with failure to control and leaving the scene and the vehicle and a trailer he’d used to haul the tractor were impounded. Steubenville Police Making friends: A woman in the 500 block of North Fourth Street told police her vehicle had been vandalized, inside and out, Tuesday. She said she thought she locked it but police said there were no signs of forced entry. Police said the windshield was cracked, the inside lining of the trunk was torn open, the rear view mirror wires were pulled out and the passenger side had been scraped.
