GRAND OPENING: Dunkin’ Donuts will open its first new restaurant in the Weirton area at 250 Three Springs Road on Monday.
To celebrate the grand opening, the restaurant will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a live broadcast by WCDK-FM and offer the first 100 guests a free Dunkin’ Donuts travel mug.
The new restaurant will be open from 5 a.m. to midnight seven days a week and will employ approximately 30 to 35 crew members.
“Dunkin’ Donuts is one of the world’s leading brands, and we are excited to expand its reach into the Weirton, W.Va., area,” said Anthony Braun, chief operating officer of Heartland Restaurant Group. “We are proud to serve the people of Weirton and hope to become a popular destination for guests.”
Heartland Restaurant Group is a Dunkin’ Donuts franchise partner in Pittsburgh and currently operates 35 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. Today, there are 42 Dunkin’ Donuts locations in Pittsburgh.
JOINS FIRM: Camden Nogay, a Weirton native, has joined the private equity firm CIM Group as an associate in Los Angeles.
With more than $18 billion in assets under management, CIM Group is one of the world’s leading private equity firms focused on investments in real estate and infrastructure assets. As an associate on the investments team, Nogay will focus primarily on evaluating, structuring, executing and managing investments.
Prior to joining CIM Group, Nogay worked as an analyst in the New York office of the global investment bank Lincoln International. Nogay graduated, cum laude, with a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Dartmouth in 2013.
A 2009 graduate of Brooke High School, he is the son of Joseph and Cathy Nogay of Weirton and the brother of Evan Nogay.
ADDITION: Laurie Dankovchik of Weirton is an addition to the JJ Guida Airport Realty staff of real estate agents.
She is the daughter of Dale and Dorene Gaston, also of Weirton. She is a 1979 graduate of Weir High School and has worked for the Hancock County Board of Education for 35 years, spending 24 years as a secretary at Liberty Elementary and six years at Weir Middle. She was an executive secretary in the central office.

HONORED: Dr. Michael Sarap, a native of Steubenville, will receive the local Boy Scout’s 2015 Distinguished Citizen Award on Thursday at the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center in Cambridge.
The award will be presented to the Steubenville High School graduate at a banquet in his honor.
Each year a committee of local community volunteers work with the Muskingum Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America, to select an honoree who has distinguished himself or herself in their profession and their community.
Sarap has worked as a general surgeon in Cambridge for 28 years.
He is an active member of multiple organizations, including serving as a governor of the American College of Surgeons.
Sarap will be recognized for his commitment to boards of numerous local organizations.

ELECTED: Melissa Hassan, MSN, registered nurse, director of Trinity School of Nursing, has been elected president of the National Coalition of Hospital Associated Schools and Colleges of Nursing. There are approximately 30 schools from around the country that are members.
“NCHASCN is formally organized to support hospital associated schools and colleges of nursing in their efforts to prepare licensed nurses to meet the health care needs of society.”
Hassan attended her first meeting in Philadelphia on March 26-27.
QUALIFIES: Nikolas A. Kamarados, a local certified financial planner and a financial planner with Prudential Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia Agency, has qualified for membership in the Million Dollar Round Table for the 11th consecutive year, making him a qualifying and life member.

APPOINTMENT: The Health Plan formally announced the appointment of Scott Hauber as its new manager, senior developer of business intelligence effective March 23.
Hauber will be responsible for the development of a reporting services team within the business intelligence unit with the goal of building innovative, actionable reporting for the various lines of business of the Health Plan.
Hauber holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting. He comes to the Health Plan with nearly 20 years of experience in the health insurance industry, his strengths being in network analytics, complex report development and HMO data management, officials said.
“The Health Plan has a strategic initiative of expanding our business intelligence capabilities. We are making a long-term investment in data analytics by hiring experienced staff and purchasing new technology. We are excited to have Scott join our team,” officials said.
The Health Plan (healthplan.org), established in 1979, is a community health organization that delivers clinically driven, technology-enhanced and customer-focused services that manage and improve the health and well-being of its members, officials said.

OUTSTANDING: One of the largest employers in the Ohio Valley was recently recognized for exceptional commitment to his workers.
Local McDonald’s owner-operator Ross Stoltz was honored with the People Champion Award during the Golden Arches’ recent gathering of thousands of franchisees, restaurant managers and corporate staff in Las Vegas.
The People Champion Award is presented to owner-operators who make McDonald’s a great place to work. Recipients utilize effective people practices, well-established rewards programs and ongoing development and training opportunities.
“Ross Stoltz believes all of his success begins with putting people first and he demonstrates that philosophy in his restaurants every single day,” said Judy Key, human resources director.
Stoltz, like 90 percent of McDonald’s managers, began as a crew member, employs more than 700 Ohio Valley residents at McDonald’s locations in Barnesville, Belmont, Elm Grove, Martins Ferry, Moundsville, St. Clairsville, Triadelphia, Warwood and Woodsfield. His daughter, Amanda Stoltz Moore, owns an additional site in Bellaire, and his son Bob has also been approved to be a franchisee in the near future.
“I believe the words ‘Welcome to McDonald’s’ should apply to my employees just as much as my customers,” said Stoltz. “I’m proud of McDonald’s restaurants and the many jobs we create. Some of the best people in the world work right here.”

RECOGNIZED: Top producing agents for JJ Guida Airport Realty recently were recognized.
Linda McDonald and Amy Beaman were multi-million dollar producers for the Weirton and surrounding areas, officials said. Both were in the top 10 of the Tri State MLS statistics, achieving those rankings for listing and sales volume in the area.
They have consistently been in the top 10, and Broker Jamie Guida also was on that list.
JJ Guida Airport Realty officials said they are proud to recognize three of the agents are, and have been, on the list of top 10 producers serving Weirton, Follansbee, Wellsburg, New Cumberland and Chester.
Jamie Guida, broker, commented that the market continues to be strong and busier than ever. Sales so far in the first quarter of 2015 have been brisk.
