Applications currently are being accepted for those interested in taking part in the 2026-2027 term of the Weirton Youth Council. “The last day to apply is Sept. 14,” explained Ward 5 Councilwoman Brittany Holloway during Tuesday's meeting of Weirton Council. RICHMOND — A Toronto man was killed Tuesday following a single-vehicle crash near Richmond. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, James A. Clark, 70, was driving a 2024 Jeep Gladiator north on state Route 152 at about 4:26 p.m. when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, overturned and struck a tree. Clark was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. Tearin’ Up the Turf turns 21 RICHMOND — Area high school marching bands will gather Sept. 12 for Tearin’ Up the Turf XXI at Cartwright Memorial Stadium at the Edison Unified Sports Complex.
