Wellsburg Kiwanis to hold annual chicken dinner

WELLSBURG – Area residents can get dinner and help support a local civic organization and their community projects all at one time. The Wellsburg Kiwanis Club's annual Famous Chicken BBQ is set for Thursday at the Wellsburg United Methodist Church. “We've been doing it since the 1950s,” club President Eric Fithyan said. Chicken dinners may be purchased at $15 each, and will be available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., or until sold out. Camera club names top finishers

WINTERSVILLE — The Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month at Two Ridges Presbyterian Church. The first Tuesday is either a workshop where photos are taken using various setups or a PowerPoint presentation from one of the club members. The third Tuesday is a photo competition. There are 10 months with named categories to submit to the competition along with an open category and a special effects category. Water line work planned WEIRTON – Crews from the Weirton Area Water Board will perform maintenance on a water line on Hillcrest Road Wednesday, which could result in low water pressure in the area.
