Police reports STEUBENVILLE POLICE Arrest made in shots fired, chase: A man who allegedly fired multiple shots in the 200 block of S. 5th Street, then led Steubenville police on a high-speed chase a month ago that ended in Washington, Pa., was booked into the Jefferson County Jail Tuesday. Police said Rashad J. Grigsby, 27, of Washington, Pa. was with arrest warrants charging him with improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle and discharging a firearm in city limits, along with probation violation. Rivers earns silver at State SkillsUSA contest

Katie Rivers’ hard work paid off as she earned a silver medal during the Ohio SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference this month. Rivers, a junior in the auto collision technology program at Jefferson County Joint Vocational School, earned high honors during the event May 5-6. A majority of the contests were held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, but her competition took place at an area business.
