Jefferson County Sheriff Badly injured: A woman living on state Route 213 who had been knocked to the ground and struck her head was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital where she underwent emergency surgery after she was found unresponsive in her home, Saturday. Deputies were told the woman and her husband had been at a nearby establishment the night before when a man began choking a female companion. Bystanders rushed to break it up and the man causing the problem was pushed outdoors where the situation escalated and he “was trying to hit everyone.” The victim was ...
