Jefferson County Sheriff Badly injured: A woman living on state Route 213 who had been knocked to the ground and struck her head was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital where she underwent emergency surgery after she was found unresponsive in her home, Saturday. Deputies were told the woman and her husband had been at a nearby establishment the night before when a man began choking a female companion. Steubenville Police Agitated: Callers complained of a woman causing problems during a T-ball game at North End ballfield, Friday. Police said she was “obviously upset and was unable to keep herself calm” and began relating some altercation that occurred between she and another subject,” but she strayed off subject very quickly “and began making statements which made no sense.” After trying unsuccessfully to calm her down, police escorted her off the property “so as to keep young children from hearing her remarks.” After they got her off on her own police said she ...
