Route 2 closed by slide
WELLSBURG — State Route 2 between Wellsburg and Beech Bottom remained closed early today while crews addressed and monitored a slide that occurred there Sunday.
North- and southbound traffic was being rerouted to Greens Run, McCord’s Hill and 49 Hill roads and state Route 67.
Truck drivers have been encouraged to use Ohio Route 7.
All Brooke County schools were closed today because of the slide.
