STEUBENVILLE — A man's body was discovered Friday morning in Beatty Park. Police Chief Wes Crawford said the man's identity is not being released pending notification of his next of kin. Crawford said the cause of death could not be determined at the scene and the investigation is ongoing. Volunteers working at the park say hikers found the man's body by the old Stone Lodge.
STEUBENVILLE — Jefferson County commissioners were told Thursday there's an exposed sanitary sewer line in Cross Creek that will have to be repaired. WEIRTON - The boil order issued Thursday for the area of Kingsview Drive has been lifted, effective at 8:15 a.m. today, according to the Weirton Area Water Board. The order also included Lakeview Drive and Glenview Drive. Those in the affected areas may resume using water without restrictions.

Traffic had to be routed off of a portion of southbound Ohio Route 7 in Steubenville Thursday morning after a tractor trailer carrying a load of coal overturned, spilling its load onto the roadway. By 9:30 a.m., the truck had been lifted back onto its wheels, while another truck was brought in to take its cargo. No injuries were reported.
