Brooke grad named National Merit Scholar

A pair of recent high school graduates from the Northern Panhandle, one from Brooke High School and another from Wheeling Park High School, were announced Tuesday as National Merit Scholarship winners financed by U.S. colleges and universities. Traffic to be restricted on part of Culler Road

WEIRTON – Traffic will be restricted to one lane on a portion of Culler Road Wednesday, as part of planned repairs to a water line. The restriction will be in place from Wirt Street to Putnam Lane beginning at 8 a.m., according to the Weirton Area Water Board.

McKinley Road area boil order lifted

WEIRTON - The Weirton Area Water Board has lifted the boil order for the area of McKinley Road, effective at 7:30 a.m. today. The order, issued Monday, was in effect for McKinley Road and Cleveland Road following work on a water line in the area. Those affected may resume using water without any restrictions or boil requirements.
