Ronald Pitcock
Ronald Sherman Pitcock, 75, passed away January 16, 2019 in Tucson, AZ.
He was born June 18, 1943 to the late Sherman and Faye (Rainey) Pitcock of New Cumberland, West Virginia. He was a 1961 graduate of New Cumberland High School and attended Duff’s Iron City College in Pittsburgh, PA.
Ron retired from Weirton Steel Corp. in 1984 after 20 years in the Blooming Mill. After then relocating to California, he worked in aerospace, towing, U-Haul Corp, and finally as a security guard at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power facility and many other sites.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Sue Center Pitcock; three loving children, Tammy Smith of Tucson, Wendy Garza of Riverside, Ca. and Scott Pitcock of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and four grandchildren, Nikki and Trevor Garza, and Brendan and Maddie Pitcock, all of Southern California. He is also survived by sister, Dr. Joyce Lynn Heise; and nephew, Steve Heise, from New Manchester, W.Va.
Ron was a Master Mason of the New Cumberland Lodge 22 and a Royal Arch Mason of Wheeling Union 1.
