Children don’t need the vaccine

To the Editor, I hope parents understand that we do not have an FDA approved COVID vaccine. They approved the Comirnaty version of Pfizer drugs that is not available in the U.S. The average time for vaccine approval was once around three years. These vaccines are being administered under emergency use authorization. Why should this population of children ages 5-11 be vaccinated when they have a very slim chance of dying if infected with this virus? Any drug that you take includes a list of possible harmful reactions. Benefits must outweigh the potential negatives. What is in this ...

To the Editor, The Second Annual High School Students Art Exhibition opening reception sponsored by the Top of WV Arts Council, a sub-committee of the Top of WV Convention & Visitors Bureau, was held Saturday, November 6th at the Summit Art Gallery with approximately 120 attending. Brooke High School, Oak Glen High School, Weir High School, and John D. Rockefeller Career Center featured 53 art students participating with 59 pieces of art displayed. To the Editor, Let’s a put a real face on gambling. Beware of politicians and and industry that promises one the world and does not produce a product. To identify a gambler — he or she is a person who knows how to play quinellas, perfectas and trifectas. A big gambler is one who knows how to play the Powerball lottery, video lottery machines and slot machines. Gambling causes real money to become Monopoly money. The losers quip that it is only paper. To the Editor, What’s been happening with the Democratic party since January should be considered a mortal sin. The democrats want desperately to move the country into a socialist form of government, and it appears most American’s are essentially clueless. The old adage of how to cook a frog comes to mind. Let thoughts be heard on well pad

To the Editor, As you may known, SWN Production Company applied to the Weirton Board of Zoning Appeals to place an oil and gas well pad on the Brownlee land behind the Rue21 distribution center located on Three Springs Drive near Wal-Mart. SWN’s application was denied by the Zoning Board and SWN has filed an appeal along with a separate lawsuit claiming that the City of Weirton is wrongfully depriving SWN of its property rights.
