Haney reaches milestone in big win for Big Red

GNADENHUTTEN — Santino Haney netted a game-high 25 points to lead Big Red to a big 73-64 victory on the road at Indian Valley on Friday night, and in the proccess reached 1,000 career points.

Cole Bowers also had a big night for Steubenville (9-1) with 23 points.

Panthers top the Wildcats

RICHMOND — The Buckeye Local boys basketball team went on the road to Edison on Friday and defeated the Wildcats 67-59 for a season sweep of their Buckeye 8 Conference foes.

The Panthers (3-9) had four players in double digits as Jusante Wright netted 20, Kyle Kirland 16, Rylan Walker 13 and Hayden Wilhelm 11.

Edison (3-7) got 10 from Bryce Rogers.

Oak Glen wins at home

NEW MANCHESTER — The Oak Glen boys basketball team defended the Bears Den on Friday night, defeating visiting St Marys 78-47.

Jacob Everett had a big night for Oak Glen (5-2), leading the way with a game-high 25 points.
