Members of the Steubenville Big Red softball team were honored by Steubenville City Council during Tuesday's meeting. The team, coached by Gus DiMarzio, set new standards for the school's softball program -- winning its first district and regional championships and earning its first berth in the state tournament. Though Big Red lost in the semifinals, the team finished the season with the program record for wins in a season with 23. – Linda Harris
