Steubenville Police Starting over: Police said they were investigating a shots fired call near Club 106 when they spotted $1 bills on the ground near the train tracks and thought the bills “could have bee dropped by someone running from the scene,” Saturday. Police collected $17. Several hours later a woman asked them to retrieve her iPhone from a residence in the 300 block of Virginia Avenue. Steubenville Police Breaking up is hard to do: Police said an Adams Street couple in the process of filing for divorce didn’t grasp the concept of marital property, Wednesday. The wife complained that her soon-to-be ex-husband “was upset and had damaged windows in his vehicle” which she wanted him to stop doing. Steubenville Police Afraid: A city resident told police she’d been assaulted by her son and had fled the residence, Tuesday. She said she was doing her hair when he walked in the room “and struck her on the back of the head multiple times.” She said he also hit her on the hands, then pulled out a pocketknife and opened it. She had no visible injuries and refused treatment or to pursue charges but told police her son has physiological issues and his doctor had changed his medications.
