Problems: An Island Creek township woman said her drunken husband reached over and grabbed the steering wheel during an argument, trying to steer it into the guard rail before getting out of her car and started walking to his mother’s house, Sunday. She said the two of them have had relationship issues throughout their marriage, telling deputies her husband sleeps with other women and brags to her about it. She wants a protection order but isn’t interested in filing charges because she’d rather let “karma” eat at him. The man’s mother was advised to keep him away from her daughter-in-law, but hours later she told deputies she spotted him “driving past her house repeatedly.”
Unattended child: A 3-year-old in Smithfield was found in a stranger’s garage, Sunday. The property owner didn’t know whose child it was so, he put the boy in his car and drove him to the Smithfield township police department. Someone who knew the child’s mother contacted the woman and told her where her child was and the sheriff’s department was on the way to meet with her she replied, “(expletive) the sheriff’s department.” She claimed she and her husband were in their basement when their 6-year-old unlocked the front door and went outside and said the 3-year-old followed him out. She said she was going to buy a chain lock so it doesn’t happen again. Neighbors said the mother had previously been arrested for child endangerment in 2019.
Booked: An Island Creek township man said his estranged wife hit him, Saturday. Deputies said the man had a two-inch laceration on his forehead that was bleeding profusely. He said she struck him with a coffee mug. The two share a camper, and his wife told deputies she was trying to sleep and he kept annoying her. She said she told him to leave her alone several times and when he didn’t, she hit him with a coffee mug, adding she wasn’t sure how he could be injured when the mug didn’t break.
Missing: Items were reported missing from a Piney Fork property, Sunday. The residence was supposed to be vacant, but an individual who had been living in a camper temporarily had moved himself in without permission. When the owner discovered it, she had him evicted. Unfortunately, when he left he apparently took a significant quantity of wiring as well as totes containing personal family photographs and other mementos and appliances.
Disturbance: Deputies responded to a report of a female “losing her mind” in Rayland, Friday. The female, who lives in a camper outside the residence, told deputies she was upset over a dog cushion being torn up, believing the dog had not been fed.
Booked: Anna Wells, 31, 1029 township Road 428, Toronto, charged with domestic violence, Sunday; Lacey Risdon, 1189 county Road 16, Rayland, warrants for disorderly conduct and assault on a police officer.

Foot chase: Police responded to the 200 block of Linduff Avenue Sunday to assist with removing an intoxicated individual from a property. Prior to arrival, officers were advised individuals were throwing things at each other. Upon arrival, officers said they heard a female yelling at a man and as they approached, the female began walking away and when asked to stop took off running. An officer chased her down and, once in custody, they said she lied about her name and date of birth. Police eventually were able to identify her and discovered she had an outstanding warrant. Brandy M. West, 29, no fixed address, was charged with obstructing official business, falsification and a bench warrant for failure to appear, police said.
Booked: Two people a pedestrian allegedly spotted shooting up on the steps from Belleview Boulevard to the downtown area Sunday were booked, police said. Kathie A. Kennedy, 32, 233 Hudson Ave., Weirton, was charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug abuse instruments. Police say they saw a case sticking out of her cleavage and found it contained two hypodermic needles, a rope tourniquet, a rubber container and several baggies, one of which contained a substance she reportedly admitted was heroin. Her companion, Aaron M. Schons, 30, also of 233 Hudson Ave., was booked for possession of drugs and a bench warrant for failure to appear.
Video: Police responding to reports of a loud radio said they didn’t hear one when they arrived in the 1300 block of Wellesley Avenue but advised the woman who was outside to keep her volume down anyway, Sunday. The woman said she thinks her neighbor is harassing her by complaining all the time, but after police left she put her speaker on the railing of her porch facing a neighbor’s residence. This time, the caller shot a video of the woman that she was able to show police.
