WEIRTON - The Weirton Area Water Board has lifted the boil order issued Wednesday for the 1000 and 1100 blocks of Pennsylvania Avenue, the 100 block of Inez Street, and the 100 block of North 11th Street, effective at 7:10 a.m. today. Those in the affected area may resume using water without any restrictions or requirement to boil.

NEWELL – The Hancock County Sheriff's Department is investigating a two-vehicle crash near the Ergon refinery, Tuesday, which resulted in one individual trapped within a vehicle. Hancock County 911 received a call from Ergon just after 3 p.m. Tuesday of a two-vehicle crash with entrapment and injuries on W.Va. 2 near the refinery located south of Newell. BEECH BOTTOM – Four of the five at-large council seats in Beech Bottom were decided as part of Tuesday's election, with the fifth to be determined during next week's canvassing.
