Assault weapons need addressed

To the Editor, I would like to publicly thank Catholic Bishop Mark Brennan for his stand on gun safety. Governor Justice and the legislature need to address this problem! It’s time for people (especially those with influence) to stand up for the outlawing of assault weapons. Mental health is important, but other countries have mentally ill people and they don’t kill people. There is no justification for the sale of assault weapons that kill so many. To the Editor, The Office of Congressional Ethics (“OCE”) review of me, described in the OCE Report and Findings released by the Committee on Ethics, was tainted from the outset by the OCE’s procedural irregularities and denial of due process. These procedural improprieties are compounded by the OCE’s rampant factual misrepresentations, evidentiary exaggerations, and plainly wrong legal conclusions in its report. Feeling blessed

To the Editor, If anyone would ask me what is one of the biggest blessings of my life, my first response would be that of being accepted as a resident of Overbrook Towers. The apartment building is located at 525 Cove Road in Weirton, West Virginia. I have held tenancy there for 19 and one-half years. My landlord is Mr. George Vargo. He is one of the most helpful, caring and fair persons that I have met. The importance of the executive committees

To the Editor, The Republican State Executive Committee doesn’t get much attention on the ballot, but it’s an extremely important position. Two men and two women represent our district at the state level in Charleston. Our district is the 1st Senatorial District, which is Hancock, Brooke, Ohio and most of Marshal counties. Among other responsibilities, committee members help form our party’s platform and nominate replacements in the event an elected politician cannot finish their term in office.
