Donald Trump is shameful

To the Editor, A few weeks ago, presidential author Bob Woodward released excerpts from his tapes of conversations with President Donald Trump that he made for his book. Trump related to Woodward early February that the novel Coronavirus was deadly and dangerous. Trump said, “I always wanted to play it down. Because I don’t want to create panic.” The panic that he most cared about was the stock market plunging so as to not hurt his re-election. Barrett will prevent mischief

To the Editor, What does it matter? Justices form their own opinions once on the Supreme Court. Some liberals lean to the conservative and some conservatives tend to be more liberal. Chief Justice John Roberts, anyone? I know there is plenty of foot stomping (ever notice Chuck Schumer’s shoes?) or faces twisting grotesquely out of shape? To the Editor, We are lucky to have a Veteran, Senator Ryan Weld, serving in Charleston. He is up for reelection on Nov 3 and we need to keep him in office. He was commissioned into the Air Force Reserve in 2005 and spent a number of years serving on active duty both at home and around the world. Just before coming back to West Virginia in 2011, Ryan spent over a year away from home serving as the staff intelligence officer to a joint Army-Air Force team in southeastern Afghanistan. GOP picking up steam

To the Editor, The Sept. 19 “Trump Train” road rally sponsored by the Hancock County Republican Committee was a success. The final count I got was 115 vehicles, but we picked up quite a few more, along the way, so perhaps about 130. I want to thank everyone who took the time to come out, decorate your vehicle, and support our embattled President. The Weirton Police Department, though unable to provide an escort, graciously blocked traffic for us at several intersections. Brooke County came through with a car blocking Route 2 to let us pass. To the Editor, Shanksville Pennsylvania. A quiet town nestled in Somerset County. Shanksville. A town of about 500 people who work at their local areas of employment,and enjoy each others company.
